 About Us

Seattle’s cityscape has changed over the past decade, the Daniels-Shumaker team have been preserving its historic and community places. Combining preservation, sustainability, and great architectural design, the core team continues to maintain Seattle’s past while inspiring the future.

From repositioning the former Sears building into Starbuck's Center to the preservation and reuse of Union Station, Merrill Place, First United Methodist Church — and bringing the first homeownership opportunity to Pioneer Square in over 40-years by artistically blending historic and new at Gridiron Condominiums.

Now this visionary team is focused on the preservation of the former Seminary located at St. Edward State Park in Kenmore. Enveloped by 326-acres of natural park land and trails, the former seminary building is being meticulously restored as a lodge getaway and landmark experience. When it opens in the summer of 2021, visitors will discover a civic treasure maintaining its historic integrity while inviting new and lasting memories to be made.
